Founded in February 2023 by Ash William Mills, it resides in a charming, wee building that was once a 17th-century bishop’s cottage. Parts of the original foundations can still be seen today! With a touch of whimsy, we at the museum always say the Close itself is magical, cloaked in invisibility—blink, and you might miss it! But for those determined to find us, the Museum will reveal itself for those seeking genuine magic.
Our exhibits aim to raise awareness of the European witch hunts, highlight Scotland’s unique folklore, and highlight the importance of magical heritage witnessed in many cultures. We proudly showcase a growing collection of magical items, many of which were gifted by those seeking to pass on their mystical heirlooms and legacy.
