Animal Trance: A Ritual Dance Experience in Edinburgh
A new immersive dance experience by
PsycheNautics. This is a guided 60-minute journey where we explore movement beyond thinking — stepping out of our usual identities and into something more instinctive, playful, and free.
Together, we’ll work with the energy of 7 Scottish animals, each representing a different wild spirit. You’ll be randomly given an animal mask and invited to embody that energy through movement.
No choreography. No performance. Just a structured, safe space to let the body lead and explore your instinctive side.
It’s part ritual, part game, and part dance floor — designed to be accessible and welcoming, even if you’ve never done anything like this before.

No dance experience needed

You can go at your own pace

What people have said:
“Practices like this provide a fantastic root system for expression… an accepting yet structured approach that is ideal for ritual conduction.”
If you feel even a little curious… that’s usually the sign

PS: This isn’t a furry event, and no alcohol is involved — just movement, music, and exploration
This event is not happening at the museum building but at the LifeCare Centre in Edinburgh.
